Leaders of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and its dialogue partners attended the opening ceremony of a regional summit on Monday (November 13) in the Philippines capital Manila.
The annual meeting brings together world leaders, including heads of state from the 10-national regional bloc, as well as U.S. President Donald Trump, Chinese Premier Li Keqiang and Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe.
After the ceremony, the Southeast Asian leaders proceeded with the plenary session where they are expected to talk about a range of issues, including counter-terrorism, the South China Sea and North Korea's nuclear programme.
