The world's largest known fancy intense pink diamond, "The Raj Pink", was on display at a preview in Hong Kong on Monday (October 23). "The Pink Raj", an intense pink diamond described by experts as the world's largest, is expected to fetch up to $30 million when it is auctioned in Geneva next month. The stone weighs just over 37 carats. A 24.78 carat intense pink diamond sold for more than $46 million - a record price per carat for pink diamonds - in November 2010 in Geneva. At a preview in Hong Kong ahead of the sale, Sotheby's Senior International Jewellery Specialist Brett O'Connor also said a pair of yellow diamonds known as "The Donnersmarck Diamonds" is expected to be worth up to $14 million. Sotheby's says they were formerly in the collection of Princess Katharina Henckel von Donnersmarck, the second wife of German prince Guido Henckel von Donnersmarck.
