ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION) U.S. President Donald Trump said in a videotaped statement that Irma was "a storm of absolutely historic destructive potential," and called on people to heed recommendations from government officials and law enforcement. Trump said his administration is doing everything it can to help with disaster preparation. "When the time comes, we will restore, recover and rebuild together as Americans," Trump said. He also turned his attention to tax reform. Trump said he wants to simplify the U.S. tax code and providing tax relief to middle-class Americans, ideas he has been talking about since his 2016 presidential campaign.
