(ROUGH CUT - NO REPORTER NARRATION)
Chaos erupted outside the Phoenix Convention Center Tuesday (August 22) night after President Donald Trump's rally came to an end and thousands of people filled the streets.
Police were forced to deploy pepper balls and tear gas into the crowd, reportedly because people were throwing rocks and bottles at police.
The tear gas dispersed the crowd in the area. One reporter described it as a "battle zone."
As the rally first got underway, Phoenix police said there had been "no arrests or significant incidents."
