U.S. President-elect Donald Trump and his wife, Melania, take action when businesses in her hometown in Slovenia create Trump-themed treats to attract customers. Diane Hodges reports.
Sevnica, Slovenia...population about 17,600. The hometown of the next U.S. First Lady, Melania Trump. Residents of the town were proud when Donald Trump won the U.S. presidential election. The Rondo restaurant marked the event with a new hamburger, called the "Trump." (SOUNDBITE) (Slovenian) RESTAURANT MANAGER, BRUNO VIDMAR, SAYING: "The burger is pleasantly spicy, because Trump's statements are also pleasantly spicy. On top there's a piece of cheese which represents his hair." Down the street, another shop created an appropriately-rich cake they call, "Melanja." (SOUNDBITE) (Slovenian) SERVER IN CAKE SHOP, FRANJA KRAJNC, SAYING: "The cake has white chocolate mousse, nuts, edible gold and butter." But the creations struck a sour note with one of the Trumps' attorneys. Natasa Pirc Musar notified the shops that they were using protected trademarks. (SOUNDBITE) (English) LAWYER REPRESENTING MELANIA TRUMP, NATASA PIRC MUSAR, SAYING: "You are not allowed to use 'Melania Trump' to sell, to boost the selling of the product. There is a thin line about the usage of only the name 'Melanija'." But the news hasn't slowed the rush to cash in on Melania Trump's new position. Several other restaurants have now created their own Trump-themed treats.
