Ewan McGregor talks about changing roles from actor to director as he launches his first feature film at the Toronto International Film Festival. Rough cut (no reporter narration).
ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION) STORY: Ewan McGregor is accustomed to movie premieres, but at the launch of his new film 'American Pastoral' at the Toronto International Film Festival, his emotions were running higher than premieres in the past. "It's quite a new one for me," said McGregor. "It's the first film I've directed so the first one I feel completely responsible for. I've been in this situation as an actor many many times and I always like it and it's always nerve-wracking but this is quite new." 'American Pastoral' sees McGregor in the lead as a hard-working American man in the late sixties whose family begins to fall apart after his daughter becomes politically radicalized. It is slated for release on October 28 in North America.
