ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION) STORY: Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump said that his Democratic counterpart Hillary Clinton "should have congratulated me," for winning his parties nomination and for having "done something that nobody has ever done in history." At a campaign rally in Colorado Springs, Colorado, Trump said, "I was curious to see whether she'd do a class act and not mention my name... or mention it with respect, like say, 'I'd like to congratulate my Republican opponent for having done something that nobody has ever done in the history of politics in this nation." Clinton is the first woman to ever become the nominee of a major American political party. Nationally, opinion polls show Trump moving into a slight lead after receiving his party's nomination at the convention in Cleveland. Clinton is likely to get a similar boost after the Democratic convention, where she was lauded by Obama and other senior Democrats as a tough fighter with a long-held passion for helping the underprivileged.
