Actress Sigourney Weaver at the DNC in Philadelphia says Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton understands that acting on climate change is a ''moral obligation,'' unlike her Republican rival. Rough Cut (no reporter narration).
ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION) Actress Sigourney Weaver told the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia that the choice was clear about which candidate cares more about climate change issues. She said that when talking about climate change issues "what we're really talking about is people." "Like a rancher in Texas, who's losing his herd of cattle because there's no grass for them to eat. Or a farmer in Kansas, whose crops are dying because there's no rain," Weaver said. "Can Donald Trump look these people in the eye and tell them climate change is a hoax?" Weaver went on to say that Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton "gets it" when it comes to climate issues, and that it's not just a political issue but a "moral obligation to one another."
