Actor Scott Baio tells delegates at the Republican National Convention that Donald Trump will be a good president because he ''genuinely wants to help.'' Rough Cut (no reporter narration).
ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION). STORY: Actor Scott Baio urged delegates at the Republican National Convention in Cleveland, Ohio on Monday night to support presumptive nominee Donald Trump because he "knows how to get things done." Baio was one of the first speakers of the first evening of the convention. He's best know for starring in the television programs, Happy Days, Joanie Loves Chachi and Charles in Charge. He appeared in the convention hall just hours after the defeat of a "Never Trump" movement, that saw some delegates walk out of the meeting. Trump's candidacy has proved so contentious that some prominent members of the party have skipped the gathering. Party leaders are hoping to rally delegates around him this week and heal some of those rifts.
