''Obama won't admit that Islam put the 'I' in ISIS'' says former U.S. vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin, who says Republican Donald Trump was never called a racist ''until he decided to run against the Democrats.'' Rough Cut (no reporter narration).
ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION) STORY: "Trump was never called a racist until he decided to run against the Democrats," former U.S. vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin said during the Western Conservative Summit in Denver, Colorado on Friday (July 1). "And despite all of the bloody evidence of a ghastly dogma, Obama won't admit that Islam put the 'I' in ISIS," said Palin. Trump won enough grassroots support among Republicans to make him the party's presumptive presidential nominee with a pledge to ban Muslims temporarily from entering the United States and to build a wall on the U.S. border with Mexico, and a series of other inflammatory remarks. Obama has sharply criticized Trump for such rhetoric.
