A former butler of Donald Trump is under investigation in the U.S. over a Facebook post saying President Barack Obama should hang for treason. Paul Chapman reports.
These Facebook posts by Donald Trump's former butler attacking President Barack Obama have triggered an investigation by the U.S. Secret Service. Anthony Senecal, who's 74, posted the statements last year saying Obama should be hanged for treason. Senecal hasn't served as a butler to Trump since 2009 but is identified in a New York Times profile in March as an employee of his Mar-a-Lago estate. The posts emerged as Trump concluded a charm offensive at Republican National Committee headquarters in Washington DC. His proposals to ban Muslims from entering the U.S. and to build a wall along the Mexican border have drawn heavy criticism and some protests. A Trump spokeswoman said Senecal hadn't worked at Mar-a-Lago for many years and that his comments were completely disavowed.
