STORY: U.S. President Barack Obama in Germany said the European Union and United States must move forward with a free trade accord still under negotiation, but warned that the clock is ticking.
Acknowledging the fears that many have of trade, Obama said "the answer is to learn from the past and do trade the right way."
He also warned that time is running out to conclude the so-called TTIP trade deal. "If we don't complete negotiations this year then upcoming political transitions in the United States and Europe could mean this agreement won't be finished for quite some time," he said.
Supporters of the pact say could boost each economy by some $100 billion.
