Actor Danny DeVito stumps for the ''man who shook the hand of the Pope'', Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders, whose rally in Brooklyn's Prospect Park drew an estimated 28,000. Rough Cut (no reporter narration).
ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION) Actor Danny DeVito pumped up the crowd in Brooklyn's Prospect Park with a stump speech for Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders, who had just returned from a visit to the Vatican. "I'm so happy to be here," Devito said. "And you know why we're here? Because we feel the Bern!" "I just hugged a man who shook the hand of the Pope," he added, referring to Sanders himself. Sanders visited with Pope Francis during his visit to the Vatican the day before, in a meeting the pontiff insists was not political. Local media and campaign organizers said some 28,000 people turned out for the campaign rally, just before the state's nominating contest on Tuesday.
