Governor Tom Wolf is joined by Planned Parenthood and abortion rights advocates to speak out against a bill that would place new restrictions on abortions in Pennsylvania. Rough Cut (no reporter narration).
ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION) Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf says he will veto a bill under consideration on the House floor that would place new restrictions on abortions in the state. Wolf was joined by the president of the Planned Parenthood Federation of America and abortion rights advocates at a news conference in Harrisburg to speak out against the bill that would prohibit elective abortions after 20 weeks. Currently, state law allows women to have elective abortions in the first 24 weeks of pregnancy. The House bill would also outlaw an abortion procedure known as dilation and evacuation. If passed in the House, the bill will head to the Senate.
