Al Shabaab Islamist militants have claimed responsibility for a suicide car bombing in the Somali capital, Mogadishu, that killed three officers. Mana Rabiee reports.
The car bomb exploded near a cafe and police building in Mogadishu. Three police officers were killed, along with one of the suspected bombers. Police took his fingerprints. They say they've also captured an accomplice, the driver who was wounded in the suicide attack -- as well as two others suspected of setting off a second device. The Islamist group al Shabaab is claiming responsibility for the bombings. Al Shabaab wants to topple Somalia's Western-backed government and has launched numerous attacks in Somalia in the past two weeks, including near the presidential palace, all of which have left dozens of people dead.
