U.S. Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton releases a new ad aligning herself with President Barack Obama's push to tighten gun measures. Rough cut (no reporter narration).
ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION) U.S. Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton released a new television advertisement on Tuesday (January 12) declaring her support for U.S. President Barack Obama's plan for stricter gun control. "An average of 90 people are killed by guns in this country every single day. It has to stop," Clinton said, adding: "President Obama wants to make universal background checks the law of the land, and he wants to make sure gun manufacturers can finally be held accountable when their guns are used to kill our children." The title of the ad is "I'm with him." Earlier this month, Obama issued an executive order enforcing measures on gun background check rules. Obama has said he does not expect the Republican-controlled Congress to introduce any new law restricting gun ownership or gun purchases. He has said he will make gun control a theme of his last year in office.
