The immediate aftermath after a dump truck ran out of control and ploughed into a group of pilgrims in the Mexican town of Mazapil.
At least 23 were killed, including a baby.
Twenty-two more have been injured, some seriously.
The driver is thought to have leapt from the truck about 50 metres before impact and fled.
Police are trying to track him down for questioning.
Mexico's president has offered his condolences to the families of the victims of Wednesday's crash.
The pilgrims had been heading to a church in Mazapil as part of a celebration for a patron saint.
