Rebels claim to have shot down a Syrian military jet in the south of the country. Nathan Frandino reports.
Rebels are celebrating beside the wreckage of a military jet that they claim to have shot down in southern Syria. New amateur video appears to show the plane's fiery descent over an area said to be Deraa. Insurgents fighting to topple President Bashar al-Assad say they used anti-aircraft guns to shoot down a Russian-made MIG jet. The plane crashed near the site of heavy fighting around a military airport that rebels have been trying to take since Wednesday. The Syrian army confirms it has lost one of its jets and says it's investigating the cause.
