Prince William visited a cemetery for soldiers from the British Commonwealth in Japan on Friday (February 27), He laid a wreath at the Cross of Remembrance memorial in the Yokohama War Cemetery, The cemetery is the final resting place for about 1,500 Commonwealth servicemen and woman who died as prisoners of war during World War Two or while serving in Japan in the post-war period. It's the only Commonwealth War Graves Commission (CWGC) facility in Japan . William took a moment to look at photos showing his mother, the late Princess Diana, visiting the same cemetery in 1995. He also signed the visitors' book with his name and the date of his visit. The cemetery visit came on the second day of William's visit to Japan. After Japan, he is expected to travel to China.
