Thousands of Palestinians march in the streets of West Bank cities of Ramallah and Hebron in protest against Charlie Hebdo's Mohammad cartoon. Pavithra George reports.
A sea of black and white in the occupied West Bank territory Thousands of Palestinians rallied against the cartoons of Prophet Mohammad in French satirical weekly Charlie Hebdo in a protest organized by the Islamist Tahrir Party --- that wants an Islamic Caliphate to be established in Muslim countries. Chanting "France is the mother of terrorism, America is the mother of terrorism," protesters demanded a response to what they described as offenses against the Prophet. The protest is one of many organized in Muslim countries after Islamist gunmen opened fire on the offices of Charlie Hebdo and a Jewish supermarket ---killing 17 people - in an attack that drew shows of solidarity for the victims from various world leaders including the Palestinian president Mahmoud Abbas.
