GM announced three recalls on January 1st involving SUVs and pickup trucks. More than 83,000 vehicles affected in the primary recall surrounding ignition lock systems. Shartia Brantley reports
GM started 2015 with three vehicle recalls, one involving its defective ignition switch again. The primary recall covers more than 83-thousand vehicles, but GM expects that fewer than 500 are affected. Models include Chevrolet Silverado pickup trucks, Avalanche, Tahoe, Surburban, GMC Sierra, Yukon and Cadillac Escalade for model years 2011 and 2012. No crashes or injuries were reported Two other recalls concern some models with either a faulty hose clamp or issues with some rear axles. GM shares lost ground in 2014 declining around 14 percent. GM recalled more than 2.5 million vehicles in 2014 after accidents that caused more than 40 deaths.
