World leaders dress in brightly coloured silk shirts for a gala dinner on the eve of the ASEAN summit in the Myanmar capital, in what has become a tradition for the event. Rough Cut (No reporter narration)
A lavish dinner hall in Myanmar was awash with colour as world leaders, including U.S. President Barack Obama, gathered for a traditional gala late on Wednesday. Dressed in smart silk shirts, the ten leaders from the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and partner countries were treated to a special dance show as they attended the gala dinner in the capital Naypitaw. On Thursday (November 13), the leaders will sit down for discussions at the East Asia Summit, which brings together ASEAN and the United States, China, Japan, South Korea, Russia, India, New Zealand and Australia.
