Rebel forces take aim in Syria's Aleppo as France warns that Syria's ''second city'' should not be left to its own fate. Deborah Lutterbeck reports.
Rebel forces unleash a barrage of firepower in Aleppo. The video, which can not be independently verified by Reuters comes amid calls from France, for the coalition fighting Islamic State to save Syria's second city Aleppo. While U.S. warplanes bomb Islamic State in and around Kobani, war rages on several fronts across the country, as President Bashar al Assad's military intensifies its campaign against some rebel groups that Washington considers its allies. After more than three years of war -- in places like Idlib -- peace is a distant memory. Scenes like these are playing out across the country. Close to 200,000 people have been killed in the relentless conflict where a resolution is still out of reach.
