April 15 - Three journalists from Hezbollah's al-Manar television were killed after shooters peppered their vehicles with bullets in Syria's Maaloula. Deborah Gembara reports.
These are the vehicles Lebanese journalists were traveling when they came under fire in Maaloula on Monday --- which is north of Damascus. Blood and bullet holes. Three journalists from Hezbollah's al-Manar television were killed in the attack: cameraman Mohamad Mantash; reporter Hamza Haj Hassan; and technician Halim Allaw. Two other from their team were injured and in stable condition. In Lebanon on Tuesday, family and friends gathered to pay their final respects. The attack came shortly after the Syrian army backed by Hezbollah fighters recaptured Maaloula.
