French "first lady" Valerie Trierweiler has checked out of the hospital and is headed for Versailles, according to Paris Match magazine. She had been in the hospital since news of an affair with French President Francois Hollande and film actress Julie Gayet was first published by celebrity magazine Closer on January 10. Meanwhile, amidst the flurry of reports, Mr. Hollande is paying a visit to his political heartland in central France. The visit was to inaugurate a center for emergency services in Vigeois. He then went to the regional to make a speech about restructuring local government. No comment was made on the speculation of the affair.
