Apple says it sold 9 million iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c models in just their first three days on the market. Bobbi Rebell reports.
The Daily Digit is 9 million. Apple sold a mind-blowing nine million iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c models in the first three days after their launch on Friday. It's much more than the six million Wall Street analysts had expected. And nearly double the sales of the previous model, iPhone 5, in its first three days on the market a year ago. The most popular, gold-colored version of the 5S, was sold out as of Friday and will now ship in October. It's a clear sign that, despite critics saying Apple may be losing some of its magic, people really like this product. Investors took notice sending the company's shares up on Monday. Apple also issued a new, more optimistic financial forecast.
