Aug 15 - The first lady is teaming up with music stars to create an album full of songs about healthy living. Alicia Powell reports.
The First Lady Michelle Obama continues to promote her message of health with a little help from her friends including Run DMC, Ashanti and Jordin Sparks. In support of the first lady's health initiative, "Let's Move", Hip Hop Public Health and the Partnership for a Healthier America will be releasing an album in September called "Songs for a Healthier America." The idea is to get children and families to live healthier lives through exercise and better food choices. The new album has 19 tracks including "U R What You Eat", "Hip Hop F.E.E.T." and "Get Up, Sit Up." While Michelle Obama won't be singing on the record, she does appear in the video for the song "Everybody." Among her other efforts to get kids to eat healthier, Michelle Obama started a vegetable garden on the south lawn of the White House in 2009.
