Aug. 4 - Forensics teams investigate car bomb aftermath in Bahrain. Rough Cut (no reporter narration).
Forensic investigators began concluding their investigation into a car bomb explosion near a recreational area in Budaiya, west of the Bahraini capital Manama, on Saturday (August 3), although no casualties were reported, the Interior Ministry said. Small crowds gathered near police cordons as the investigators cleared the scene of the attack. Two gas cylinders were planted in a parked vehicle but only one exploded, a ministry source told Reuters. Bahrain, a majority Shi'ite country ruled by the Sunni al Khalifa family, has been buffeted by political unrest since 2011, with mostly Shi'ite Bahrainis agitating for democratic reforms and more say in government.
