SOUNDBITE: U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry saying: "We ask them again not to upset the balance within the region, with respect to Israel and the weaponry that is being provided to Assad, whether it's an old contract or not...it does put Israel at risk." The U.S. and Germany worry that shoring up Assad's forces could plunge Syria's civil war into an all-out regional war with no end in sight.
