ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION) STORY: Syrian authorities released 378 detainees, 38 of them in Homs, on Monday, Syrian television Al Ikhbariah said. The release came as Syrian army shelling and helicopter attacks on suburbs of the capital Damascus killed at least 62 people on Monday, opposition activists said. Syrian authorities have banned free movement to most foreign media, making it impossible to fully verify accounts by activists and residents.
