Bloodied and dazed - victims of a bomb blast at a political rally in Pakistan are rushed to hospital. The attack near the town of Quetta in Baluchistan province has left six dead, including an 8-year-old boy, and twelve more injured. Police say a bicycle carrying a bomb exploded behind the stage of a rally by the leftist Awami National Party in a bazaar near Quetta, shortly before the rally was due to begin. The local president of the party and his wife were amongst those injured. Balochistan is Pakistan's biggest but poorest province. Much of the violence in the area is blamed on Baluch separatists, who are fighting for autonomy and control over the natural resources of the province. Sarah Wali, Reuters
