The site of a deadly helicopter crash in a forest outside the Kenyan capital Nairobi. The police helicopter, which crashed early Sunday morning, was carrying Kenya's minister for internal security, George Saitoti, and his deputy Orwa Ojode. Both died in the disaster, along with the aircraft's two pilots. It was not immediately clear what caused the crash. A former long-serving vice president under Daniel Arap Moi, Saitoti was also set to compete in a presidential election expected to be held next year. He has also been a leading government voice against the Somali al Shabaab militants, often visiting the sites of grenade and bomb attacks inside Kenya, and vowing to crush the Islamist militant group.
