Nov. 14 - Police confronted Occupy Portland protesters in Oregon. Julie Noce reports.
Occupy Portland protesters clashed with police over the weekend, in the northwestern state of Oregon. Fully clad riot police were seen pushing and arguing with demonstrators in the streets. Protesters had vacated parks after being issued an eviction notice, but later regrouped. Portland is one of many U.S. cities in which authorities are working to shut down encampments-- including Denver and Salt Lake City. Protests have sprung up in several cities, in solidarity with the Occupy Wall Street movement that's protesting what demonstrators see as economic inequality and undue influence over U.S. politics by corporate interests.
