ROUGH CUT - NO REPORTER NARRATION STORY: A day after Obama held late night meeting with euro zone leaders, he said he is confident Europe has the capacity to meet its debt challenge. Italy, under fierce pressure from financial markets and European peers, agreed to have the IMF monitor its progress with long delayed reforms of pensions, labor markets and privatization. The president also addressed slower than expected jobs growth in the U.S. and how it could impact his re-election chances. U.S. Senate Republicans on Thursday (November 3) blocked a $60 billion White House proposal to repair crumbling bridges, highways and other transportation systems.
