ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION)
In a festive pre-birthday mood, and with the aggravation of the debt deal behind him, U.S. President Barack Obama treats the White House staff to lunch at a local burger joint.
The president bought lunch for five staffers who had spent months trying to hammer out a deal. He also picked up the tab for a woman who held his place in line. The group shared a table at the Good Stuff Eatery, a crowded Capitol Hill joint that serves a burger named the "Prez Obama Burger."
After shaking hands with customers there, Obama returned to the White House for a cabinet meeting.
On the eve of his 50th birthday, he said he'd turn to cabinet members for guidance on getting older. "I'm going to get advice from some around the table...about how to handle this milestone," he said.
