Video from a social media website shows police dispersing anti-government demonstrators in Syria.
Human rights activists say at least 21 protesters were killed on Friday, bring the total to 560.
Anti government demonstrations routinely break out after Friday prayers as citizens take to the streets to protest President Bashar al-Assad's 40 year rule.
Government security forces have so far prevented protesters from setting up camp similar to Egypt's Tahrir Square.
Video uploaded on-line shows protesters in several towns and cities echoing the same calls for freedom and change of leadership.
