BERLIN (Reuters) - German Deputy Finance Minister Joerg Asmussen will replace Juergen Stark on the executive board of the European Central Bank, a source familiar with the plan said Friday.
Earlier, sources told Reuters that Stark, who is also the chief economist at the Frankfurt-based central bank, was stepping down in a row over the ECB's bond-buying program.
